Eh...

Well I've heard the beginning of what I think it's going to be a long week. Today the Trojans took a trip to Seattle to play against the University of Washington. Now I had a bad feeling about this game because the offensive coordinator for the Trojans for the last few years is now the head coach for the Huskies. Hmm, let's see a guy who knows and has seen every play possible for the Trojans is now playing against them with a team he built, this doesn't seem fair but hey it's the reality of any sport really. The concern I had about this game had it's merits as I came to find out during the first half of the game with a tied score of 10-10. This being the team that went into Columbus, Ohio and beat a very loud crowd and a very tough team last week. On top of that our star freshman quarterback Matt Barkley sat on the sidelines with an injured shoulder for the whole game and in his place Aaron Corp took his place. Now I had a bad feeling about this kid nothing personal but this was his first game in a very loud Huskie stadium. My fears were confirmed when in the fourth quarter and after much struggle from Troy offense and defense and the Huskies making some phenomenal plays they defeated my team 16-13. Like any other Trojan fan I'm bummed about this loss so early in the season but we have a bunch of young guys and this is a great teaching tool for Pete Carroll. Now we continue to focus on the BCS Championship in Pasadena and by the middle of December we will know where we stand. Fight On!

What I'm wondering is...they've known for weeks now that these two teams were going to play and who the coach at UW is...so why in the world wouldn't they come up with some new plays?!
So next week I'll be back to cheering for USC...think that will help?
These verses are so comforting. Continuing to pray!!!!!!!!!
Revelation 21:1-4 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

So I found out that a friend who'd come up here to visit her college roommate and come to our church...was AT the game yesterday! What are the chanced?! AND SHE LEFT BEFORE IT WAS OVER! What is UP with people leaving games early?! If I'm at a game, I'M AT A GAME!
Only the Lord can give the strength needed for whatever lies ahead. Praying!
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
