Hard at work.

I've been working the night shift this week which means working late hours and slacking on the blog. (Did you notice? Ha Ha) Last night while I was troubleshooting an aircraft there was three Apaches taking off for night flights so I pulled out my iPhone and snapped some cool pictures. The first few pictures are kinda grainy because it was getting dark but they look pretty cool if you ask me. The grayed out pictures are snapped on the Apache's night vision screen. Sometimes I forget how cool the technology is that I work with probably because I see it all every day. I guess this is a good reminder of how great my job can be sometimes. Enjoy! :)

Eh...

Well I've heard the beginning of what I think it's going to be a long week. Today the Trojans took a trip to Seattle to play against the University of Washington. Now I had a bad feeling about this game because the offensive coordinator for the Trojans for the last few years is now the head coach for the Huskies. Hmm, let's see a guy who knows and has seen every play possible for the Trojans is now playing against them with a team he built, this doesn't seem fair but hey it's the reality of any sport really. The concern I had about this game had it's merits as I came to find out during the first half of the game with a tied score of 10-10. This being the team that went into Columbus, Ohio and beat a very loud crowd and a very tough team last week. On top of that our star freshman quarterback Matt Barkley sat on the sidelines with an injured shoulder for the whole game and in his place Aaron Corp took his place. Now I had a bad feeling about this kid nothing personal but this was his first game in a very loud Huskie stadium. My fears were confirmed when in the fourth quarter and after much struggle from Troy offense and defense and the Huskies making some phenomenal plays they defeated my team 16-13. Like any other Trojan fan I'm bummed about this loss so early in the season but we have a bunch of young guys and this is a great teaching tool for Pete Carroll. Now we continue to focus on the BCS Championship in Pasadena and by the middle of December we will know where we stand. Fight On!

USC Baby!!!

Today has been a good game for my favorite team the USC Trojans!! They went into Columbus, Ohio to the stadium they fondly refer to as the Horse Shoe. Well I, like any other Trojan fan is used to seeing my team come in and beat up every team they play against game in and game out. Not today though, those Buckeyes have a tough house to play in they're loud, passionate and crazy but nevertheless the Trojans pulled it out. The score 18-15 doesn't reflect very much how intense the game was but I haven't felt my heart pound like this in a while I had visions of a fumble or an interception something! Thankfully they pulled it out and now I can breathe again! I know it seems totally ridiculous to care so much about a sport but hey sometimes you just have to unplug from reality and just enjoy something bigger than yourself. I guess this is the way I disconnect from the craziness at work because Lord knows I'll be back at work on monday. It's been a good night for the Trojan fans and we look forward to the BCS Championship! Fight On!

Labor Pains

Tonight we finally submitted the dossier for Kellsey's adoption to her country! As someone be aptly put it the final labor pains have now began but in the end it'll be so worth it. I have my camcorder ready and my regular camera to take TONS of pictures for sure. As I've said before we are so excited beyond words it won't be long now it's just a matter of time now. The only thing we need to focus on now is raising the rest of the money with I'm confident God will provide and getting the kids mentally prepared (not that they're not already) for their new baby sister. One day at a time now but we're almost there.

40 Weeks Plus!

Well as you guys may have read on my lovely wife's blog we have had a crazy week on full of emotions, frustration and non-stop driving! We have driven around Clarksville more this week then we ever had since we moved here over 5 years ago. In the middle of all this craziness I've stopped and realized that it's not all in vein and that there's a purpose to what we're doing we are bringing Kellsey home!! We are adding another member to the Garcia family and that's SO exciting!! I mean it has been like a pregnancy only without the morning sickness just the sickness of not knowing where my immigration paperwork is, the nausea of paperwork getting kicked back because of a simple typo. The running around to city, county, and government offices instead of doctors offices. I'm truly excited and once we submit our paperwork to Kellsey's country we will both feel like I've felt all four times before the kids were delivered excited, nervous, and eager to hold that new child in my arms and know that I love them as soon as I see them. In many ways this adoption process has been like a pregnancy and I know I have learned that God's timing is perfect even though I may not agree sometimes. I can't wait for Renee and I to travel and get Kellsey. We are excited beyond words!
